Shipped Hatching Egg Policy

We love sending a little piece of Magnolia Run to your incubator! Before ordering shipped hatching eggs, however, we want every customer to understand the risks involved.

Hatching Eggs Are Not Guaranteed Chicks

When you purchase hatching eggs, you are buying fertile eggs—not guaranteed chicks or guaranteed hatch rates.

We carefully collect, inspect, select, package, and ship our hatching eggs to give them the best possible chance of arriving safely. However, once a package leaves our hands, many factors outside our control can affect development and hatchability.

Shipping can expose eggs to:

  • Rough handling, drops, and vibration

  • Temperature extremes

  • Pressure and altitude changes during transportation

  • Delays in transit

  • Detached or damaged air cells

  • Internal damage that may not be visible from the outside

An egg may arrive looking completely intact and still have sustained damage during shipping.

Fertility vs. Hatchability

Fertility and hatchability are not the same thing.

We monitor fertility in our breeding pens and only offer hatching eggs from pens we believe are actively fertile. However, we cannot guarantee that every egg shipped will develop or hatch.

Once eggs are shipped, we cannot determine whether an egg failed to develop because of fertility, shipping damage, storage, incubation conditions, or another factor.

For this reason, Magnolia Run does not guarantee hatch rates on shipped eggs.

When Your Eggs Arrive

We recommend opening your package carefully and inspecting the eggs when they arrive.

Allow shipped eggs to rest 12–24 hours, large end up, before placing them in your incubator. This gives the contents and air cells an opportunity to settle after transit.

For the best chance of success, use a clean, properly calibrated incubator and carefully monitor temperature and humidity throughout incubation.

Shipping Damage

We take great care when packaging our eggs, but we cannot control how a package is handled once it enters the carrier's possession.

If eggs arrive visibly cracked or broken, please photograph the eggs and packaging and contact us as soon as possible after delivery.

We will always do our best to work with our customers when there is an obvious shipping issue. However, eggs that are intact but fail to develop or hatch are not considered damaged eggs and are not eligible for replacement or refund based solely on hatch results.

By Purchasing Shipped Hatching Eggs

By ordering shipped hatching eggs from Magnolia Run, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of shipping and incubating fertile eggs.

You understand that:

We guarantee that we will carefully select and package your eggs. We cannot guarantee what happens to them in transit, or what happens once they enter an incubator.

That little bit of uncertainty is part of the hatching experience, especially with shipped eggs.

Thank you for trusting Magnolia Run with your next hatch. We can't wait to see what pops out of those shells.
